About TKH

Our story

Founded in 2003 by Geoff McDowell, The Knowledge Hunters (TKH) brings more than two decades of specialist executive research experience to complex, demanding assignments.

That experience underpins our proprietary Forensic Executive Research (FER) methodology, developed through professional research practice long before AI became part of the process. Today, AI extends the breadth and speed of our research, while research mastery, evidential discipline and human review remain central to everything we deliver.

Research mastery

TKH’s mastery combines deep research competence and the judgement to recognise what others don’t know they’ve missed.

Our Forensic Executive Research methodology applies that discipline systematically: defining the capabilities that matter, investigating where relevant experience exists, challenging market coverage for possible omissions, and documenting what the professional evidence supports.

The result is research that can be examined and challenged - not simply a convincing list of names.
